Known for its rapid action and high efficacy, THERBIT offers fast symptom relief and parasite clearance in critical malaria cases.
Composition & Form:
Each 2 ml ampoule of THERBIT Injection contains 150 mg of α-β Arteether in an oil-based solution for intramuscular administration. The ampoules are packed in a box of 3, designed to complete the full 3-day treatment course.
Mechanism of Action:
α-β Arteether is a powerful schizontocidal agent derived from artemisinin, extracted from Artemisia annua (sweet wormwood). It acts on the asexual erythrocytic stages of the malaria parasite by producing free radicals that damage parasite proteins, leading to rapid death of the parasite. It has a fast onset of action and high efficacy, especially in areas with multi-drug resistant strains.
